I write in the poetic style, invoking narratives embroidered with linguistic devices for the betterment of personal knowledge. At the base of every work is simple fact, sometimes purposely complexified, othertimes fittingly unfurled. The focus is primarily metaphorical, analogical; the magnification, scientific; the lens, imperfect.
At the foot of my bed is a blue-tacked affirmation,
A single measure I am too red-faced to repeat;
Below it an epigraph by Ralph Waldo Emerson,
A homiletic meme willing me to succeed
Into pseudo-science, inside seventh sense!
No need for portfolio or one-page utterance:
“For poetry was all written before time was”.
Regrettably, we are limited to a sixth, so
With this deposition let the first commence.
Between nail biting are these lung-like shots. Reader (whoever you may be), permit me to mellow into prose and taxi to cynosure. I have watched this city unfold; I continue to keep vigil, observing all around me in an attempt to understand. I confess to a somewhat hermitic existence, engaging with the throng only when required. This distance allows clarity of thought; it neutralises dissonance. Fanatical about the written word and the umbrella of creativity, energies trail sparks in other fields -photography, video, montage, found objects, music- all interweaving with poetry, facilitating new direction, new thought and new experience. I hope my posts induce in the reader revelation at most, distraction at least.
Feel free to wander.
